Vale Cynthia Page Garth-Coulson
Page/CanadaCynthia Page Garth-Coulson was born in Riley's Hospital at Meridian, Mississippi on August 8, 1956, the eldest child and only daughter of Sandra Loper Garth and Nimrod Garland Garth IV.

Page grew up at Gainesville, Alabama in the Garland Garth ancestral home built in 1833. Page was an active outdoors child who cherished her animal companions, and won numerous horse show ribbons. Page was educated at Sumter Academy, All Saints Vicksburg, Sullens Collage for Young Women and the University of Alabama.

Page worked as a senior manager in hospitality and retail, marrying her first husband, Bill Tucker in 1990. When that marriage ended Page moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she met Lee, and in 1997 they married at the New Orleans’ Audubon Society.

In 2000, Page migrated with Lee to his native Australia. After settling at Berrima Glen in 2001 Page became an increasingly vital part of the community. Her love of animals saw Page rescue and lovingly care for many horses, support native animal causes and eventually established her not for profit organisation, In Loving Hands. Page was particularly fond of her beloved briards. Maude Louise, who they brought from America, then dear Habeebi and Gigi. Not forgetting the delightful little rescue shih tzu, Yoda. And, in the past year, the rescue Maine Coon cat, Meka.

Since 2010 Page built the Bowral Market from a handful of vendors into one of the State’s most successful regional markets. In recent years soldiering on at the Bowral School venue in typically courageous fashion despite the stressful disruptions of construction and covid.

Many people in Page’s life warrant thanks. Her beloved Jilly, with whom Page enjoyed so many adventures and interests. Joan, Andrew, Alan and David – their support made the Bowral Market possible. Justine and Greg whose shared her love of native animals and gave so much support in recent times. Page had valued friendships with her loyal stallholders, Berrima District business owners and caring neighbours.

Page’s kindness and generosity has touched many lives. On behalf of Lee and the family I would like to thank the many, many people who have conveyed heartfelt condolences following Page’s sad passing. Alan and Kate Tripp helped to lovingly care for Page during the last weeks of her life.

Page is survived by her mother Sandra Pancerz-Garth, brother Nimrod Garland Garth V, step-daughter Shay and husband Lee. Page was an extraordinary, much loved lady. You affectionate memories of her compassion and vitality can be shared at Page & Me.
